    You'd laugh, but it does fit the theme around here -- my daily portable is a polycarb MacBook from 2011. It's Japanese, so there's that... got it on the cheap, shoved in an SSD and it does everything I need it to do while I'm at work, which is mostly check HDD's from game consoles and the occasional video or quick side project... and BBS stuff from time to time when I find the time :)

    Beast as in performance? It's amazing! Of course every 'new' one seems to outshine that last, so it's not unexpected. :-) One thing about the newest
    OS though is it will close down apps that are 'not in use' and thus hogging resources. Downside is I will wonder why I'm not getting email just to find that the Mail app has closed. :-)
