Haven't played a King's Quest game in a while...and this time, it's the seventh game in the series. Following the trainwreck that was the fifth game's puzzles and the gloriousness that was the overall picture of the sixth game, the seventh game had a tough act to follow, and it choked. Not only has it NOT aged well, it comes across as just formulaic and a big step back from the rest of the series, let alone the sixth game. Yet the fifth game is still a bigger trash fire, at least in my eyes, partly because I grew up with the seventh game and not the fifth. Yeesh.

In this episode, we're now past that giant lizard and we now have a forest to explore. Sadly, we won't be able to do much in the forest, at least not yet. We then enter the weird, cartoonish world of Falderal.

Now that we're in Falderal, it's time to take a good look around. We meet a snake oil salesman, a bull in a china shop and a mockingbird who turns out to be a mocking bird (with a lot of insults; I'm surprised I showed them all off!).

We now have a mask to go to the masquerade ball with, so let's put it on and see what's going on at the Archduke's ball...and maybe steal something, too. Also, the sky finally falls, but we can't reach the moon when it crashes into the town square. We'll have to do something about that. Also, I call Valanice "Rosella" for no reason. Why? I couldn't tell you.

We've taken care of a few things in Ooga Booga. Now it's time to take care of some more things as well, and that stuff will bring us to where the real King Otar is being held. The only question is: can we get him out?

Now that we have a way of disguising ourselves, we need to explore Ooga Booga even more so we can finally escape. Once we do, it's off to Falderal, where the shortcut to the volcano should be.

Apparently, I had some audiovisual desync during the recording process, and didn't know this until I watched the video back. I've tried to fix it, but this is probably the best I can do given the circumstances.

We've gotten a few things out of Malicia's house, including a very mysterious and very important device, and we are now in Falderal. We now need to find that passage into the volcano. Once we do, it's back to playing as Valanice as we put the moon back into the sky.

In this episode, we bring water back to the River of Life and head to the land of Ooga Booga as Valanice in order to find a way to the volcano. In order to do that, we must find a way to Etheria, which is up in the sky, and to do that, we must return Count Tsepish's head back to him.

In this episode, we have some work to do in order to save Lady Mab from her frozen fate. To do that, we'll need to find a way to go to the Land of Dreams first. But to do that, we also need to free Lady Ceres from the curse she has been suffering from all game.

We get Valanice to the volcano and bring Chapter 5 to an end, then blow through the sixth and final chapter. Of course, leave it to the final chapter to throw us a curveball and become the only time we see how the game is barely connected to the rest of the series. Also, why did Malicia want to make the volcano erupt? It's never really explained; all we know is that she just does. After that, I try my best to say what I like and what I don't like. But that was the 250th Let's Play that I've done (assuming other things don't keep that from happening). Thanks for watching.
