Back in 1992, Namco made an RPG with a pro-environment theme to it for the Game Boy that seemed to come and go without much notice. I personally didn't come across this game until more recent years, and I found this one a little interesting to play through. This one also had a little bit of length to it as well, and there were plenty of bosses to defeat and a swell amount of dungeons to go through. This is definitely one RPG on the Game Boy not made by Square to sink some time to!

I also uploaded my longplay for Game Mode 4 of Berzerk for Atari 2600. This game is much like the default game mode in Game Mode 1, except you'll need 2,000 points for an extra life. Somehow, I'm able to play this mode for twenty minutes and net myself quite a lot of points.

This was a fun game to play. I didn't know if I would be able to figure it out, but thankfully, I did. This one is a bit of a thrill ride, and I'm amazed at how good the port is. It's like playing a game for the NES on Atari 2600 (which makes me wonder how a NES port of Vanguard would have been).

Interestingly, this is one of the few things that TOSE wasn't a shadow developer for, and they've made a lot of games (with The Legend of Stafy being the most notable). 

Also, the first video has gotten over 600 views and 9 likes, and has blown the amount of views I've gotten in 48 hours to 1,000+, what with multiple people now looking at my Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain Let's Play. Absolutely incredible.

With the ability to get rid of Evil Otto again (compared to Game Mode 4 where I couldn't), I don't score as many points here. Still, with an extra life at 2,000 points, at least I was able to get a few extra chances to score.

Zalaga is a clone of Galaga for the BBC Micro. Looks like the real thing, sounds like the real thing, plays like the real thing. The only real problem with it is that it's a tad too fast. Otherwise, it's a good clone.

Caveman Capers is yet another one of those arcade-style games for the BBC Micro. This time around, you're a caveman training a turtle to carry him around, and this leads to a lot of avoiding things that will either hit you in the head or will cause you to trip off the turtle. Completing just the first loop gets a little difficult near the end, and I'm surprised I did that in the longplay and not the Let's Play. Also, this game reminds me of B.C.'s Quest For Tires.

This slightly later release for the BBC Micro almost reminds me of B.C.'s Quest For Tires. It's also a pretty tough game when you get close to the end of the first loop.

Yep. It finally made it to Just Bad Games, and what's more, it's a bloody 3 hour long video!!!!

Haven't watched it yet, it was just uploaded 30 mins ago while I was watching some other stuff, but it's there to enjoy.

As an aside, this is one of my favorite gaming channels out of the few I even bother to watch because, these guys clearly truly care about gaming for the sake of the games -- something lost to most of the community.

Big Challenge! Gun Fighter is one of the four games in Jaleco's Big Challenge! series for the Famicom Disk System. It's also the only one that I've seen footage of, so not surprisingly, it's the one I'm playing. You're a cowboy running and jumping around while shooting bad guys, and after you shoot enough bad guys, you take on a boss, which you have to beat quickly by getting your cursor to the upper half of them and shooting over and over and over again. The side scrolling sections are alright, while the boss sections rely on speed and a little bit of luck.

Points...or safety? Apparently, I cared too much about points.

Finally got around to playing Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel's Castle for the Internet a while back. For those who don't know, it's a side-scroller for the Atari 2600 (and Colecovision) based on the Smurfs license that has you walking to the right and superjumping over everything to get to Smurfette. The early loops start out easy, but the fourth one gets really difficult.

Also, the Game Mode 9 longplay for Berzerk on 2600 is also up.

The Smurfs got plenty of video games in the 20th century, and this one was the first. Once you know how the gameplay works, this one is pretty fun. Once you get past the second loop, however, it truly gets challenging.

Six parts, one longplay

In this Game Boy platformer, Yogi Bear has to find twelve gold bars scattered by a ghost in order to save Jellystone Park from closure, and in order to do that, he has to go through six worlds, find the two bonus levels hidden in each, and complete them. There is a bad ending if you don't and there is a good ending if you do.

This game came out around the time that a Super NES game and a Mega Drive game (that was Europe-only) came out.

It's now time for the longplays of the children's modes of the games, starting with Game Mode 10. Evil Otto is invincible, but at least the robots don't fight back. Also, I can't believe it took me that long to lose one life, after which I said, "Yeah, just end it here."

Dragonfire is yet another Atari 2600 game (I completed a few of these in a row at one point) where you're avoiding fireballs not only as you're getting into the castle, but also while you're picking up the treasures. You also have to avoid the dragon itself once you're inside, and not surprisingly, the game is completely fast-paced throughout to the point where a single play of this game can last a few minutes at best. If you're looking for a really frantic game for the Atari 2600, consider this one of your first choices.

Yet another easy Game Mode in which I was able to spend a lot of time in and get a lot of points, due to it being one of the kid-friendly difficulties.

Yeah, it's this quirky platformer for the NES from Bandai. Y'know, the one that isn't Monster Party. Who knows why Frankenstein is back from the dead! All you have to know is that the village elder's daughter that you have been friends with forever has been kidnapped by Frankenstein and you have to get her back, and along the way, you're going to have to fight a ton of other monsters.

Man, the AVGN review of this is one of my favorites.
