We've played Word Rescue in the past, and it was only a matter of time before I touched the sequel. Compared to Word Rescue, however this one looks a lot better and you have much more going on.

After getting used to how everything is in the first level, we play through a few more levels in Episode 1. Of course, the Gruzzles continue to make things interesting, but at least we're not doomed to start the whole level over if one of them touches us.

Our adventure under the sea takes us to an undersea volcano. We had the threat of bottomless pits before, but now we have the threat of falling into lava. At least the scenery has changed a little bit.

Episode 1 - and our volcano spelunking - continues with us climbing the volcano as we continue to save the numbers from the Gruzzles. One thing is for sure: this game's backgrounds can look pretty nice.

After climbing the volcano, we come across some ice caves. We'll be confronting the Gruzzles and saving the Arabic number system in the ice caves for the rest of Episode 1.

...and with this video, that's Episode 1 finished! But the Gruzzles are not happy with the way things turned out, and they're going to return eventually.

Episode 2 begins with us heading into space. Also, the level designs are becoming as maze-like as ever.

In this video, we wrap things up at the space station before ultimately landing on Venus. How we're in space - much less on a space station - is something the game never explains.

We now explore Venus as well as its seas and volcanoes at this point in Episode 2. At this point, old level themes from Episode 1 are getting revisited.
