It amazes me that nobody once looked around and thought "We shouldn't set off the pyro here." Even if it was controlled, it would be like setting off fireworks in a basement.
Also, I'm surprised the bouncers didn't get in trouble even in the slightest.
Subject: The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet has been identified!
Yep, the nearly 2 decade hunt for the identity of the most mysterious song on the internet -- the champion of media that isn't itself lost, but the identity of it and its creators is a mystery, is over.
The song is titled "Subways of Your Mind" and was done by the band FEX in the early 80's. A different cut of the song from the original recording (which was in itself made off of a radio station in 1984) was provided, and since then an alternate "live" version has also been provided, as well as two other songs from the band!
Some, of course, call this a hoax and if it was it would have to be the most elaborate hoax in online history, and the people who would have "faked" this would happen to have mastered period-correct sound, as well as matching the sound of the band and even their playing and singing styles....
So, no, I'm beyond sure we have it, and that's just awesome because it's a kick ass song! Far better than the rather hilariously sourced "Ulterior Motives" which was identified earlier this year.
Anyway, original sound upload link because, why not?

Seriously, if you have a good sound system, bump this shit. It's good. Especially that ending, oh man!
