When we are talking about Middle-earth universe, we always first think about Lord of the Ring, but it's actually way more! That's a full universe inside mythological dark age / early medieval era where each species has their own culture. So there are tons games from that time that were inspired by this universe. Which makes that the RPG standards of the era, was we actually create our own story goes through the elements while minimally following a story.
So, did I like the game? I would be frank, the game is hard as hell and there was basically no tutorial to learn the intricacies of the gameplay, so yes, I like the idea, but since I wasn't able to go that far, it's hard to have fond memories. That being said, if you are less sucky than me, you probably see that game as a must have, since it goes very deep inside the universe that push the imagination of so many people for so many decades now! So to make it short, a great game that I wasn't great at it because it was very hard!
